In the square of a village or a town many things usually happen: gatherings, meetings, feasts, demonstrations, onlookers ... a square is like a large, real and open "stage". People gather in the place where most of the people are and the most central area in town where, due to the absence of traffic, it is possible for young people, older people and children to entertain.Music, singing and dance are also present as part of the traditional street culture, a way of expressing the spontaneity and freedom of Mediterranean countries. Today many attitudes and forms of expression have slowly disappeared as the experience to which they were related have changed. In this show the intention is to recreate the life and activity of an imaginary square, from an individual to a group sequence, with today's people who do not consider that there is incompatibility between dancing a soleá or a jota and going to the disco. As for the music and the choreography this show combines several styles: it naturally goes from Folklore to Flamenco or popular styles, giving importance to the individuality and personality of the performers to reach diversity and credibility. ![]() ![]()
